North Pole Phone Privacy Policy
What North Pole Phone collects, why, where it goes, and the rights you have over it. This policy covers the app only.
Effective date: 30 October 2026
Our legal documents are published in English only, and the English text is the authoritative version. If you would like help understanding any part of it, email [email protected].
1. Who we are
North Pole Phone is published by Opus Accountancy Limited, a limited company registered in England and Wales, company number 03956240, with its registered office at Bretton House, Bell Meadow Business Park, Park Lane, Pulford, Chester, CH4 9EP.
Opus Accountancy Limited is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. That means it decides what is collected and why. This policy covers the North Pole Phone app only. It does not cover any website, and it does not cover any other app.

2. What this app collects
North Pole Phone is a pretend phone and festive message app for families. Calls are simulated: they do not connect to Santa, another person or a telephone network. The app has no account and does not send recordings, pretend call history, character profiles, message schedules or advent calendar progress to Opus Accountancy Limited.
If you choose to leave a pretend voicemail, the app asks for microphone permission and saves the recording on your iPhone or iPad. Microphone access is optional. You can decline it and still use the prerecorded character greetings and messages. You can change the permission in your device Settings.
If you email us for support, we receive the email address, message and attachments you choose to send. Please do not include a child’s recording or other personal information unless it is needed for your enquiry.
3. What this app does not collect
The app includes no advertising, tracking, analytics SDK or third-party crash-reporting SDK. It does not access your device’s address book or location, and it does not upload your audio for transcription, voice generation or AI processing.
Character voices, pictures and videos are created in advance and included with the app. ElevenLabs and other media-creation tools used during development do not receive a child’s recordings or app activity through North Pole Phone.
4. Why, and the lawful basis
We do not receive the recordings or other app data held on your device. If you contact us for support, we use the information you provide for our legitimate interests in answering your enquiry and resolving app problems. We do not use support correspondence for advertising.
Things that stay on your device
Recordings, pretend call history, character profiles, selected replies and schedules are saved in the app’s local storage. Settings and advent progress are also stored locally. North Pole Phone does not provide a cloud account or automatically synchronise this data between an iPhone and an iPad.
Parents can explicitly export a saved recording using the system file picker. The destination is chosen by the parent and may be on the device or with a provider such as iCloud Drive. The destination provider’s privacy terms apply to that exported copy. Export is optional; it is not an automatic upload to us.
Optional message notifications are scheduled locally by your device. A notification can show the character’s name and a message alert on the lock screen, depending on your device settings. You can disable notifications or hide their previews in Settings.
The Parent Area uses the device’s authentication system. Face ID, Touch ID or the device passcode is handled by Apple’s operating system; the app receives the authentication result, not biometric data. If a parent enables the additional app PIN, a salted derived value and failed-attempt state are stored in the device Keychain, rather than the PIN itself.
Children
North Pole Phone is designed for family make-believe with a parent or guardian managing the Parent Area. A child’s voice may be recorded only when microphone permission is granted and a pretend voicemail is recorded. These recordings stay in the app unless a parent deliberately exports one.
Parents can listen to and delete saved recordings, choose prerecorded replies and video messages, and manage the advent calendar. The app has no chat with real people, public sharing, advertising or personalised AI conversations. If a child sends personal information to our support address, a parent or guardian can contact us to request its removal.
How long data is kept
Saved recordings and phone data remain on the device until you remove them or delete the app. Parents can delete individual saved recordings in the Parent Area, remove custom character profiles and reset advent progress. There is no online account to close, and we hold no server copy of this app data.
The app marks its recordings and phone-data folder as excluded from device backups. Settings and advent progress may still be included in backups managed by your operating system. Copies you explicitly export and copies in your backups are separate: deleting a recording in the app does not delete those copies.
Deleting the app removes its local app storage, but Keychain items can remain. To remove the optional parent PIN, turn it off in the unlocked Parent Area before deleting the app. We cannot remotely erase data on your device or copies held by a provider you chose.
Support correspondence is kept only for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any applicable legal obligations. You can contact us to request deletion of correspondence you have sent.
Security
The app uses the device’s app sandbox, file protection for its saved phone-data archive, and the Keychain for the optional parent PIN record. Keep your device secured and take care when exporting or sharing a child’s recording. The Parent Area does not change the privacy settings of a destination you choose for an export.
Your rights over your personal data
You control local recordings and app data through the app and your device. Because we do not receive that data, we cannot access, recover or remotely delete it for you.
For personal information you send us, such as support correspondence, you can ask to access, correct or erase it, restrict its use or object to our use of it. These rights are subject to applicable law. Contact [email protected] with your request. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Getting help with the app
Questions about how North Pole Phone works, rather than about your personal data, are answered on the support page at opus.expert/north-pole-phone/support, which also explains how to ask for your data to be deleted.
Contact and complaints
If you have any question about this policy, or would like to discuss how we process personal data, email [email protected]. You can also write to us at Bretton House, Bell Meadow Business Park, Park Lane, Pulford, Chester, CH4 9EP.
